As with all companies, attracting the best talent is a priority for Hydro. Ken created theme and content for many recruitment campaigns including a recent event at NTNU, one of Norway’s largest universities.
The Hydro Challenge posed serious technical questions on environmental issues in electrolysis cells, building design and recycling. Students had 24 hours to test their skills on real-life challenges, propose a solution and win a MacBook Air.
Ken helped the engineers develop the brief, guided HR team in developing processes for managing the event and judging the entries and worked with the communications team to build the content. The event, never attempted on this scale in Europe, was an unqualified success and provided a template for future events.
